The Contemporary's Studio Program supports the practicing,
professional artist by providing studio space at reasonable rates.
With multiple studios available, this program fosters a collaborative
environment supportive of the creative process. Emerging, mid-career,
and established artists are invited to apply for studios; selection
is made by a panel of current Contemporary board members, studio
artists, staff and representatives from the Atlanta community.
Artist studios are open for public viewing two times per year at
special events. the Contemporary's commitment is to provide low
cost studios, and the artist in return provides timely payment of
rent, three hours per month per year of community service and two
open studios per year. A collaborative environment is encouraged
through proximity of the studio artists, the Contemporary's Gallery
and its education programs |
