The 2025 4th International Conference on Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts (SSHA 2025) was successfully held in Yantai, China, from March 28 to 30, 2025. As an esteemed international academic platform, SSHA 2025 brought together scholars, researchers, and practitioners to engage in interdisciplinary dialogue and share the latest advancements in the fields of social sciences, humanities, and the arts.
This year, the conference welcomed a broad and diverse group of attendees from multiple countries and regions, fostering vibrant academic exchange and global collaboration. Following a rigorous peer-review process, 6 high-quality papers from the conference were selected for inclusion in this proceedings volume, representing the scholarly depth and topical relevance of the event.
The conference explored a wide spectrum of topics relevant to contemporary society, including but not limited to sociology, psychology, education, communication studies, anthropology, linguistics, philosophy, and historical inquiry. Scholars also discussed pressing global and cultural issues such as gender and identity, public policy, social development, media and culture, ethics, and intercultural communication.
In addition, SSHA 2025 emphasized the dynamic intersections between the humanities and the arts, showcasing research on visual and performing arts, art theory, cultural heritage, digital humanities, and the integration of art with education and technology. The conference encouraged interdisciplinary perspectives, particularly those bridging social inquiry and artistic expression in the context of modern societal transformation.
A highlight of the conference was the keynote presentations by distinguished scholars, whose insights significantly enriched the academic atmosphere. Prof. Rustam Shadiev shared innovative research on AI and technology-enhanced education, Prof. Holger Mathias Briel explored cultural narratives in science fiction, and Assoc. Prof. Joanna Rak offered critical perspectives on political dynamics during crises. Their contributions stimulated meaningful dialogue and set a high standard for the discussions that followed.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all authors, reviewers, keynote speakers, and organizing members for their invaluable contributions. Special thanks go to the local organizers in Yantai for their valuable support and thoughtful coordination, which contributed significantly to the successful realization of the conference.
This proceedings volume represents a rich body of contemporary scholarship and reflects the interdisciplinary spirit of SSHA 2025. It is our hope that these contributions will inspire ongoing research and collaboration across the social sciences, humanities, and arts.
